FIFTY-ONE MAKES IT MANSLAUGHTER

New Yorkers taking umbrage with the Not Guilty verdict in the manslaughter case of three NYPD plainclothes detectives who pumped fifty slugs into an unarmed fellow New Yorker lacking both criminal intent and criminal behavior, are simply unaware of the refined and specific requirement for a guilty verdict. Under that new legal standard for which this is the first real test, it takes fifty-one, not fifty bullets to make it manslaughter.
