Trump already backpeddling on Syria pullout

After promoting a 30 day timetable for pulling the paltry 2,000 US troops from Syria, Trump now says there's no definite timetable. The Pentagon is saying 'Oh, my goodness gracious, it'll take at least 120 days to prevent a slaughter of US troops from such a hasty retreat'. That is nonsense. The US has built small airfields within the illegal US zone and can ferry the troops to nearby, friendly US protectorate Iraq, with ease. As I predicted at the time of Trump's announcement, it's quite possible the US war party will delay, even quash the long overdue US withdrawal there. They view every country we invade as a 'roach motel': the troops go in...but never come out.
