 What will jolt Rep. Casten to recognize genocide in Gaza and demand ceasefire?

Across America, tens of millions are calling for ceasefire in Gaza to end the Israeli genocide of Palestinians there. But only 535 persons, America’s Senators and Representatives, have the power to end the Biden administration’s monstrous support and enabling of that genocide with his tens of thousands of bombs, public statements and diplomatic cover of Israel at the UN. But so far only 63 of 535, just 11.7%, support immediate ceasefire, while 61% of all Americans vote NO to genocide.

One of the 472 still ignoring genocide in Gaza is my IL 6th District Congressman Sean Casten. He’s been public that this in no time for ceasefire till so many conditions are met that genocide will continue till all 2.3 Palestinians in Gaza are either dead or pushed into the Egyptian Sinai Desert. Casten is quick to mention the October 7 Hamas attack that initiated Israel’s revenge assault on the entirety of Gaza’s 139 square miles making it uninhabitable. That's fine. But not one word by Casten on that genocidal devastation.

What will it take for Rep. Casten to become the 64th member of Congress to call for ceasefire?

Another 20,000 dead of which 14,000 are women and kids?

The remaining 7 hospitals joining the 36 that have been bombed or invaded out of existence?

Another half million joining the current half million suffering starvation from most food and water cut off by Israel?

Another 100,000 cases of bloody diarrhea?

Another 150,000 cases of upper respiratory infections?

The remaining 100,000 buildings in Gaza joining the 100,000 already bombed to rubble with US bombs?

What will it take Rep. Casten? Those of us in the IL 6th seeking peace would like to know.
