PUPPET HAS FORKED TONGUE

Uncle Sam sure doesn't make a good puppeteer.

His chosen puppet to run Afghanistan as one of our client states in the Middle East, Hamid Karzai, has cut his strings and kicked the Good Uncle smack in the shins. Karzai came to power shortly after we used the 911 attacks to not only knock out terrorist training camps, but take over the entire country. At that point we needed a puppet to give legitimacy to our occupation. Enter Hamid Karzai, who was appointed interim President in 2002, and elected to a full term in 2004.

Corruption and powerlessness have been such a hallmark of Karzai's rule he is derisively referred to as The Mayor of Kabul. His election shenanigans in 2009 were so severe his chief rival dropped out, guaranteeing him a tainted re-election. US officials, loathe to criticize their puppet, opined that in the US, candidates drop out of election races all the time for a variety of reasons.

Now entrenched for another four years, Karzai is blaming all the corruption on foreigners and carping that if the US doesn't stop hounding him he'll join the Taliban.

Wow, a thousand soldiers dead and a half trillion squandered for a puppet now threatening to join the very folks were fighting.

Who's the dummy here?
