Kamala Harris now owns US enabling Israeli genocide in Gaza

Till President Biden withdraw his candidacy, Vice President Harris remained of sight, out of sound on foreign policy. Nary a word left her lips on her boss’s ghastly enabling of Israeli genocide in Gaza, destroying any semblance of existence for 2,300,000 Palestinians there.

No more. With Biden out, making Harris the presumptive nominee, she now must address every aspect of administration foreign policy going forward.

Sadly, Harris whiffed in her first foray into US genocide enabling she’s been avoiding like plague. She met privately Thursday with Israeli war criminal Benjamin Netanyahu who addressed Congress Wednesday. Before that formerly august body, Netanyahu begged, demanded actually, for more US weapons to ‘finish the job’. Netanyahu sullied America’s role in WWII as the Arsenal of Democracy, claiming that being the Arsenal of Genocide was on all fours with defeating Nazism.

After her private meeting with Netanyahu, Harris claimed she was concerned with massive casualties in Gaza. But she neither demanded he end the genocide nor pledged to cease all weapons to Israel on Day One of a Harris presidency. She pivoted back to the Biden pledge to give Netanyahu everything he needs to complete the annihilation of Gaza’s Palestinians. But instead of that grotesque truth, Harris calls endless US weapons support… “ensuring Israel’s self-defense”.

The cruel irony of Harris’ support of Netanyahu’s scorched earth Gaza policy is that it will likely cause further death of the remaining 122 Israeli hostages. Over 40 have died in captivity since Netanyahu focused on a war of annihilation rather than negotiate their release along with an end to Israel’s 17 year life destroying blockade. Additionally, Harris’s continuation of Biden’s Israel policy furthers Israel’s possible self-destruction from an unsustainable policy of genocide reviled around the world except in the Biden-Harris administration.

If Harris comes out against further weaponizing of Israel’s genocidal campaign in Gaza, it will do more than bring life sustaining relief to the 2,300,000 Palestinians not you dead in Gaza. Assuming Harris has a conscious, it will allow her to sleep at night.
