The drone strike Trump and Pompeo should be fretting about

President Trump and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo have been dominating the news regarding the drone strike that disabled some of Saudi Arabia's oil facilities . Both have concluded Iran did the deed though the Yemeni Houthi rebels, locked in a death spiral with the Saudis, claim responsibility. Trump even said the US was "Locked and loaded" to punish Iran while Pompeo raced to the Gulf States to strategize US, Saudi response.

But you won't hear Trump or Pompeo utter one peep about Wednesday's US drone strike in Afghanistan's Nangarhar Province that slaughtered 30 farm workers and injured 40 who gathered to harvest pine nuts. Village elders, ever fearful the gathering would attract US scrutiny, sent letters two weeks ago asking the US to hold off bombing the group because they weren't ISIS. But attacked the harvest was, obliterating more than the pine nuts.

The US response was the same as usual..."Opps". The military did say the village elders' letters warning the US to stand down against the harvesters will be considered in the investigation.

Today is judgement day for Iran as the US readies its response to the unproven charge Iran attacked Saudi Arabia. When will we get judgement day to end the US killing machine in Afghanistan?
