DON'T WISH FOR WAR

It was bad enough we smashed the pitiful country of Iraq to smithereens and plunged it into a bloody civil war. Now, we are condoning, if not encouraging, the Israeli smashing of Lebanon to smithereens. Meanwhile, politicians like Newt Gingrich and media pundits like Bill O'Reilly and Bill Kristol speak of events in Lebanon as signaling the start of World War III. They practically demand that our reckless administration train their military crosshairs on Iran and Syria. Like the Bush administration with their Iraq war, they should be careful what they wish for. They might just get it. Unfortunately, if they do then so do those of us who reside in the reality-based world.
