THE SOULS OF SEPTEMBER 11

The 2,819 souls, mostly American, who perished six years ago at the World Trade Center, continue to be dishonored by their government.

The fires over New York were still burning when the fires of burning desire to invade and take over Iraq began being stoked in the White House and the Pentagon.

The President and his bloodthirsty advisers spent a pittance going after the planners of the 911 attack, and hundreds of billions to launch and continue their catastrophic war of choice in Iraq.

Six years later, four and a half after the war party pulled the trigger on what may be the most calamitous military venture in American history, the doomed in the World Trade Center continue to provide propaganda for continuing this quagmire.

Barely a day goes by without the desktop warriors invoking the September 11 attack and its victims to justify their made up, unnecessary and immoral war. They employ every discredited trick of propaganda possible to freeze antiwar Senators and Congressmen from pulling the lever to cut off funds to wage further war and bring our soldiers home from a combat zone in which they never belonged.

And the souls of the departed on September 11, 2001, continue to stir in opposition to this dreadful, shameful use to which their memory is being exploited by the most cynical leaders our nation has ever suffered under.

On this sixth anniversary, honor them by ending the criminal military venture they would never have chosen to serve as poster-dead for.
