VEEP NEEDS NEW VENUE

I fully support the right of former Vice President Dick Cheney to publically proclaim his pride in committing war crimes such as lying America into attacking a pitifully weak country for reasons other than national defense, and torturing fellow human beings he believes are enemies of the state.

He should be doing it, however, from a jail cell instead of a prestigious news program.

COOLEST WAR TOY EVER

The made in USA predator drones from which we rain down death on unsuspecting folks in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Yemen and Somalia, is the coolest war toy in my lifetime. It's tough to top the Bomb but I couldn't appreciate its destructive efficiency because I was just four months old when we used it to incinerate two Japanese cities...because we could.

The predator drones are a perfect fit for our virtual video age. Some dude in the military equivalent of a game room, stares at a screen, pushes a button, and voila, civilians and bad guys alike are vaporized. January wasn't particularly good for the former in Pakistan. How bad you ask? Twelve attacks killed 123 civilians and just three al-Qaeda leaders in tribal areas there.

Who needs to win hearts and minds around the world when we can simply make them disappear.
