Besides world disaster, hunger, health care relief, USAID aids US regime change efforts worldwide
Besides
world disaster, hunger, health care relief, USAID aids US regime change efforts
worldwide
Critics
of Trump’s proposed shutdown of the United States Agency for International
Development (USAID) focus solely on its many worldwide relief efforts helping
improve life for impoverished people.
What
they ignore is that USAID is also an arm of US belligerent foreign policy seeking
to force countries to bend to US will regardless of how it may harm the
populations involved.
Last
Tuesday, in a rally outside USAID’s DC offices, Sen. Chris Murphy let slip this
unsavory USAID mission totally ignored by mainstream media and our government. .
“USAID chases China all
around the world, making sure that China doesn’t monopolize contracts for
critical minerals and port infrastructure all around the world. It supports
freedom fighters everywhere in this world up until yesterday, delivering
firewood to the brave Ukrainian defenders on the eastern front,”
You
won’t find “chases China around the world…” or aiding in America’s destruction
of Ukraine in the lost US proxy war against Russia on the USAID mission
statement.
That
proxy war aided by USAID has killed/injured a million Ukrainians soldiers,
caused 10 million to flee Ukraine and largely destroyed its economy
Worse, back in 2014,
USAID funneled billions into Ukrainian Non Governmental Organizations (NGO’s)
to support the US inspired coup that ousted Russian leaning Ukraine president
Victor Yanukovych.
Sen.
Murphy even joined America’s supreme warmonger Sen. John McCain in Kyiv to cheer
on the coup leaders including Oleh Tyahnybok, leader of the far-right neo-Nazi Svoboda
party. “Ukraine’s future stands
with Europe, and the US stands with Ukraine” Murphy told the cheering
crowd.
Thanks
in part to USAID, Ukraine is more like Humpty Dumpty than a viable nation whose
future is with Europe or the US.
By all
means, save the mission of USAID helping millions of poor, desperate people worldwide,
But please, get USAID out of American regime change business. Those still
suffering in Ukraine would surely support that.
