BLESS THEM ALL

Today on Planet Earth, 130,000 women will terminate their pregnancy via abortion.

Millions upon millions more will prevent pregnancy via contraception.

The former are merely exercising the critical and absolute need for Plan B.

They will terminate them for 130,000 individual reasons, but all will generally be for the best interest and welfare, and sometimes the very survival of the woman and her family. They will also be serving, whether knowingly or not, the benefit of the human race. For is there any more immoral act than to bring an unwanted child into this world?

The ongoing battle over the proposed Planned Parenthood clinic in Aurora is one of thousands of skirmishes worldwide in the effort to improve women’s health and reproductive rights. Many people with strong religious or ideological beliefs spend their entire lives preventing women from exercising those fundamental rights to safe, legal reproductive and health services such as contraception and, when necessary, abortions.

The Aurora clinic is built but as yet, unused over this great battle. As a result, some women who could gain the necessary services to prevent pregnancy will be forced to consider the next option of Plan B. The opposition, it seems, is more concerned with religious and ideological purity than actually reducing the need for abortion.

And as for those 130,000 women who will abort today while all this sound and fury plays out?

Bless them all.
