In 34 months of Russian war in Ukraine provoked by US NATO expansion, the US has squandered $185 billion of our precious treasure to keep Ukraine men dying by hundreds of thousands in a lost US foreign misadventure.

 

But as President Biden heads for the White House exits, he’s demanding and will get another $25 billion from Congress, making the total cost pushing a quarter trillion dollars.

 

Not a single military or administration strategist believes that will make any difference in American’s unwinnable proxy war. Even Biden’s National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan fessed up: “Our view has been that there’s not one weapon system that makes a difference in this battle. It’s about manpower, and Ukraine needs to do more, in our view, to firm up its lines in terms of the number of forces it has on the front lines.”

 

Biden concurred and now demands Zelensky lower the draft age from 25 to 18. Zelensky lowered the draft age last April from 27 to 25, also at US, urging, but it has done nothing to stem the inexorable Russian advancement fueled by overwhelming manpower.

After squandering $210 billion of US treasure and a half million Ukrainian men Biden wants more, more, more of both.

 

Biden could toss a trillion dollars and another half million young Ukrainian cannon fodder into the US proxy war without a prayer of victory on America’s terms.

 

But a worse fate awaits all of us. By allowing Ukraine to fire long range US missiles into Russia, Biden is risking nuclear war. If that occurs, all discussion about a squandered quarter trillion on weapons and another half million dead Ukrainian youth will be moot.

Ukraine is now firing US ATACMS long range missiles into Russia. They’re also firing long range UK Storm Shadow missiles into Russia. Ukrainians push the bottoms but US and UK military do the programming and technical support, without which no buttons can be pushed.

 

That puts Russia at de facto war with the US and UK, NATO as well for that matter.

Russia made that point by unleashing a new hypersonic nuclear capable long range missile, Oreshnik, which obliterated a strategic Ukrainian military target. The point was that the Oreshnik, which can destroy any target with unstoppable speed, can pulverize high value NATO targets thruout Europe. Compared to Oreshnik, US ATACMAS and UK Strom Shadows are like bottle rockets. Their sole military use appears to be provoking all out war.

 

In spite of the Russian warning, France’s Foreign Minister Jean –Noel Barrot just announced France will allow its SCALPS version to the UK Strom Shadows bottle rocket to be fired by Ukraine into Russia.

 

This is beginning to resemble the colossal, senseless escalations of European powers that stumbled the world into WWI. That war ignited due to incredible denial and lack of serious thought by leaders of all initial belligerents. There was virtually no diplomacy to turn back the rush to senseless world war that killed over 16 million.

 

The same senseless escalations with no prospect to prevent all out war are being conducted by a mentally diminished President Biden in his last 60 days. He’s virtually disappeared from public view. Biden never once engaged his Russian counterpart since he provoked the Russian invasion of Ukraine 34 months ago. Nor are any in his war cabinet.

 

The absence of communication and diplomacy, alongside attacking Russian targets using Ukraine proxies, poses a perilous descent into nuclear war.

 

Sixty-two years ago Cold Warrior John Kennedy learned a tough lesson from the Cuban Missile Crisis. Lack of communication and understanding of the Soviet Union’s security needs was a prescription for nuclear war. JFK understood that Russian missiles in Cuba were response in part to US missiles near Russia in Turkey. He wisely removed them in the negotiated settlement to withdraw from the brink. He established a Hotline to prevent future misunderstandings that could blow up peoplekind

 

Joe Biden ether never learned that lesson in his youth, or worse, has forgotten it from diminished capacity.

 

In 55 days Biden, if hasn’t blown up the world, will turn over the war to his successor nearly as old and quite likely mentally diminished as well.

 

At the rate a befuddled Biden, desperately seeking to avoid a well-earned defeat in Ukraine is escalating, we’re going to need more luck than a wise, clearheaded JFK had in ’62 to survive this 21st century version of the Cuban Missile Crisis.

to first administer the drug Misprostol to stop the bleeding. Husband Hope agreed, assuming “They’re the experts.” Little did Hope realize these experts are dominated by political monsters who set woman's reproductive health policy in Texas. Three hours later Crain entered the River of No Return.

To honor the GOP’s poster state for controlling then destroying women’s reproductive health, the Grotesque Old Party should officially designate Texas as its first Blood Red State.

You will not be informed of it from mainstream news but the US and Russia are closer to nuclear war than any time since the Cuban Missile Crisis of 1962.

That censorship may contribute to possible nuclear war being provoked by President Biden in his final 2 months. At the rate he’s going, he may keep Trump from taking office…because we’ll all be dead.

That is not hyperbole. When Biden authorized Ukraine to shoot long range missiles into Russia he put the US at war with Russia. This is not my take. It comes directly from Russian President Putin. He not only proclaimed it, he revised the Russian nuclear doctrine to state that any nuclear power assisting a non-nuclear power to attack Russia, puts the Russian nuclear option is on the table against both.

Ret. US Col. Douglas McGregor, a fervent critic of reckless US foreign policy, believes Russia has put its nuclear forces on high alert. He further states that will likely trigger a similar response from the US, if it hasn’t already.

Russia further raised the nuclear specter following the long-range attacks by firing a hypersonic Intermediate Range Ballistic Missile (IRBM) at sensitive Ukraine targets. The missile is nuclear capable and can hit targets thruout Europe. They cannot be stopped. Let’s hope Biden gets the point. But don’t count on it. Naval Rear Admiral Thomas Buchanan certainly did not. He says the “US is ready to have a nuclear war with Russia.”

Besides authorizing Ukraine to fire US long range missiles, Bided fast tracked $6 billion in weaponry ahead of Trump’s inauguration. The NY Times reports that US officials recently discussed giving Ukraine back some of its nukes to increase their bargaining position in any negotiated settlement. That is madness

No reasonable, knowledgeable military or diplomatic person argues that firing US long range missiles into Russia will make any difference in the war in Ukraine. None. Zero.

Than why did Biden do that after he vetoed allowing long range strikes a month ago when requested by UK Prime Minister Starmer last month?

We may never know that there are suggestions.

Is Biden seeking to escalate the war to box Trump in when he takes office January 20? Some call that ‘Trump proofing’ the war so that Trump both inherits it and has less options to end it.

Has Biden lost control of Ukraine policy to the most virulent Russian haters that have no fear of provoking nuclear Armageddon?

Or is it simply that Biden cannot fathom losing another war on his watch after Afghanistan.

Former weapons inspector Scott Ritter, another fervent US foreign policy critic, has called for mass mobilization in DC on December 7 to protest Biden’s reckless march to all-out war with Russia. He’s invited Donald Trump to attend. He wants Trump to promote his campaign promise to end the war without victory, something that Biden and his entire war party know is impossible.

If Trump attends and follows thru, that would be good. It would be much better if he comes out immediately to demand an end to reckless US escalation. He may not be president, but nobody can stop him from fervently raising the alarm over Biden’s nuclear brinkmanship with Russia.

One inadvertent, stupid error by the US, Ukraine or Russia and we’re all dead. Ponder that.

Everyone must raise their voice against the President Biden continuing to escalate a war that cannot be won on America’s or Ukraine’s terms.

Ritter believes that with media censorship and Biden’s refusal to even engage with Russia’s Putin like JFK did with Khrushchev in ’62, there are no guardrails to prevent him from self-destructing, taking peoplekind with him. He further believes Trump may be the only public figure with the opportunity to turn around America’s nuclear Titanic.

But Biden doesn’t need Trump to pivot to peace in Ukraine. He should look deep into his soul. If he does that, he can steer the US foreign policy Titanic away from a nuclear iceberg. But he likely won’t, making Trump filling the void to end the Ukraine war indispensable.

My anxiety about the US and Russia blundering into nuclear war 62 years ago was real and palpable. Today, I’m starting to get that old worrisome feeling again.
