What Biden said, didn’t say in his SOTU speech on genocide in Gaza

What Biden said, didn’t say in his SOTU speech on genocide in Gaza
What Biden said:
“More than 30,000 Palestinians have been killed. Most of whom are not Hamas. Thousands and thousands are innocent women and children. Girls and boys also orphaned. Nearly 2 million more Palestinians under bombardment or displaced. Homes destroyed, neighborhoods in rubble, cities in ruin. Families without food, water, medicine”.
“Tonight, I’m directing the US military to lead an emergency mission to establish a temporary pier in the Mediterranean on the Gaza coast that can receive large ships carrying food, water, medicine, and temporary shelters”
What Biden didn’t say:
‘Of course it will several weeks to get the temporary pier up, during which hundreds, possibly thousands of Palestinians will die from starvation, disease and thousands of US bombs Israel uses to kill, main and displace every one of Gaza’s 2,300,000 hapless citizens.”
“By the way all material we send will be subject to Israeli inspection. Guess what? Israel usually restricts the following: anesthetics and anesthesia machines, oxygen cylinders, ventilators, water filtration systems, sleeping bags, medicines to treat cancer, water purification tablets, and maternity kits. Sorry bout that Palestinians.’
Biden’s speech on Gaza at SOTU wasn’t just putting lipstick on a pig. It was putting a smiley face on genocide.

Trump finally comments on Biden’s enabling Israeli genocide in Gaza proclaiming ‘You’ve Got to Finish the Problem’

Trump finally comments on Biden’s enabling Israeli genocide in Gaza proclaiming ‘You’ve Got to Finish the Problem’

The problem Trump referred to was those pesky 2,300,000 Palestinians who won’t leave Gaza, allowing it to be redeveloped by Israel free of undesirable Palestinians.

The newly anointed GOP presidential nominee went on Fox News to proclaim his full support for Israel’s ethnic cleansing there that’s largely destroyed Gaza as a habitable land.

Trump’s weigh in on Gaza makes it official: The US is a fully bipartisan supporter and enabler of Israeli genocidal ethnic cleansing in Gaza.

That’s some choice for voters of peace to ponder on November 5.

A fair comparison

 A fair comparison

The GOP, both leadership and voting base, have anointed Donald Trump as their 2024 presidential nominee. That's a little like the GOP nominating Jefferson Davis as their presidential candidate in 1868.

Biden’s support from his voter block cratering due to supporting genocide in Gaza

Biden’s support from his voter block cratering due to supporting genocide in Gaza

Biden’s support and enabling Israeli genocide in Gaza, destroying life for 2,300,000 Palestinians there, is having an impact on his reelection bid.

Biden received 81,284,000 votes in 2020. But a recent Reuters/Ipsos poll reveals 56% of Democratic voters want a candidate not supporting Israeli genocide in Gaza. That translates to 45,519,000 Biden voters who would prefer a peace candidate.

How many of those 45,519,000 Biden voters will abandon him to vote 3rdParty, write in a peace advocate or simply skip the presidential spot is conjecture. But likely millions will. This alone could defeat Biden November 5 as he needs every possible vote to carry the swing states indispensable for reelection.

While Americans seeking to save American democracy will be horrified by Biden’s likely defeat, the 2,300,000 Palestinians in Gaza will not even notice. By November 5, a hundred thousand may be dead, with the lives of the remaining 2,200,000 shattered beyond salvation.

The best action Biden could take to curtail Israel’s ongoing genocidal ethnic cleansing in Gaza is simple: cut off all US aid enabling the genocide, cease vetoing UN Security Council resolutions condemning the genocide, then resign the presidency to seek moral redemption for his crimes against humanity.
