Biden’s support of ethnic cleansing in Gaza his dirtiest deed ever

Biden’s support of ethnic cleansing in Gaza his dirtiest deed ever

The world recoils in horror over Israel’s ongoing 41 day near genocidal ethnic cleansing of Palestinians in Gaza. Many thousands reported dead with untold more under rubble of nearly half of Gaza’s buildings destroyed and damaged. Over 1,500,000 of Gaza’s 2,300,000 citizens have been displaced. Yet, the bombs follow them as they head south, away from the carnage in and around Gaza City. Most food, water, medicine and electricity have been shut down. Babies die in dark hospitals that are still standing.

All this largely made possible by Biden’s near total support of billions in weaponry and related military assistance. Biden claims sympathy for the decimated Palestinians. But is deeds enabling their being systematically pushed out are dirty and dastardly indeed.

It takes a lot for over 400 government officials to demand Biden stop this carnage which he is capable of doing. But Biden and his team of ethnic cleansing cohorts have made it easy for them to resist.

Joe Biden has been supporting perpetual US wars, direct on proxy, for his entire 50 year government career. But he’s saved his dirtiest and most foul destruction of human life in Gaza for last.

Chicago’s mayors and top cops come and go…but Ol’ Man Bloody River keeps rolling along

Chicago’s mayors and top cops come and go…but Ol’ Man Bloody River keeps rolling along

I’ve lived my entire 78 years in and around Chicago. That time encompassed 12 mayors and 25 police chiefs. Why so few mayors? Two words: Daley, Daley.

While there are ebbs and flows to violent crime, nothing much has changed in all 78 years. Whenever there’s a slight downtick, the mayor and police chief trumpet the news at a press conference. Upticks get silence.

Maybe he’s figured out what I’ve been arguing for years. It will take major federal intervention to address the drivers of shootings, robberies, burglaries, carjackings and muggings.

The city cannot make a dent in the untold thousands of guns carried by lawbreakers in cars and on foot.

The city still hasn’t reopened the 12 desperately needed mental health centers closed 11 years ago to balance the budget. The cost and suffering from crimes committed by untreated damaged souls likely dwarfs the savings achieved.

The city can’t provide the many thousands of jobs to disaffected youth shut out from the lawful economy. The double digit unemployment rate in underserved communities makes a mockery of our heralded 3.9% nationwide.

The city cannot even fill police vacancies that result in woefully unprotected public citywide.
What’s truly needed is a federal Marshall Plan for America’s big cities where crime drones on year after year with absolutely no effective local solutions.

So I can’t fault Mayor Johnson for not overpromising in a city that will likely see an average of 40 shootings with 10 killed every one of the 208 weeks of his mayoral term.

Are you listening Uncle Sam?

Biden’s priorities: trillions for senseless wars, peanuts for migrant relief.

Biden’s priorities: trillions for senseless wars, peanuts for migrant relief.

US enabling and support of wars in Ukraine and Gaza have pushed US military spending well over a trillion dollars yearly. While not as horrible as the millions dead, wounded and displaced in those two devastated lands, that treasure could better be used to uplift the Homeland.
Consider the domestic migrant crisis here in Chicago. Over 20,000 have arrived in the past year on hundreds of buses courtesy of Texas Governor Greg Abbott.

They’re putting Chicago in both financial and political crisis. The cost this year will exceed a quarter of a billion dollars, blowing a hole in Mayor Johnson’s budget and derailing his pledge to uplift underprivileged communities.

They’re causing social unrest thruout the city as residents push back verbally, even physically, against local leaders they blame for the proliferation of migrant tent encampments in their neighborhoods.

They should blame the most war promoting American president ever, Joe Biden. He presides over an annual $858 billion dollar defense budget that swells well over a trillion with his supplemental billions for hot wars in Ukraine and Gaza, and potential wars against China, Iran and North Korea to name three.

A cruel irony of the migrant crisis is most are from Venezuela where over 7 million have fled the poverty greatly worsened by US sanctions designed to affect socialist regimes change. They’ve only accomplished fueling the massive US migrant crisis in Chicago and other southern border and northern cities.

Earlier this year Chicago Mayor Lightfoot and Governor Pritzker requested $191 million to deal with the federal generated crisis. Biden opened his pocket book and found it largely emptied for his foreign wars and militarism. He did come up with $4.3 million each for Chicago and Illinois.
Newbie Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson is back to begging Biden for adequate funds only the Fed is capable of providing. He’s yet to learn the hard lesson Lightfoot did: Perpetual war talks…and migrant relief walks.

33 Days

33 Days

That’s how long it took for the Biden administration to stop claiming Gaza was exaggerating civilian casualties. On Day 33, something the entire world knew from Day 1, the US admitted that civilian casualties in Gaza are massive.

But the billions in weapons used to destroy over 11,000 so far, including over 4,000 kids, and nearly half of Gaza’s buildings, continues to flow from Washington D.C. to continue Israel’s near genocidal ethnic cleansing of Gaza's Palestinians.

Outside of the US, the entire world is horrified by US support and enabling of this grotesque response to Hamas’ October 7 attack that killed over 1,400 Israelis and wounded thousands. Israel, underwritten by the US, is writing a horrific new chapter in disproportionate, collective punishment response not seen in our lifetime.

US diplomats in the Middle East, bound to support US policy, are alarmed and pushing back. They sent a diplomatic cable to the White House charging that "The destructive and deadly military campaign in Gaza is losing us Arab publics for a generation.” They further warn “US support for Israel’s actions are being seen as material and moral culpability in what could be possible war crimes.”

President Biden’s bellicose foreign policy against Russia, China, North Korea, Cuba, Venezuela, Iran, Syria, Yemen, among others, is greatly damaging America’s standing throughout the world. But the revulsion over our involvement in the destruction of Gaza has condemned and isolated the US possibly beyond redemption.

White House, Senate, House all out of sync with electorate on Gaza

White House, Senate, House all out of sync with electorate on Gaza

President Biden talks restraint and aid for besieged Palestinians, but pours in millions in weapons for Israel's destruction and ethnic cleansing of Gaza.

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and House Speaker Mike Johnson attended the pro Israel rally in Washington D.C. Both offered total support for Israel’s war in Gaza. Schumer told the crowd “We stand with Israel. America feels your pain. We ache with you, we stand with you, and we will not rest until you get all the assistance you need.” He offered not a word a sympathy or aid to the 2.3 million Palestinians and their housing being systematically destroyed largely by US supplied weaponry.
Johnson was even crueler, responding “We stand with that” to crowd chants of “No ceasefire, no ceasefire.”

The top 3 US officials all ignore the electorate which favors immediate ceasefire. The Action for Progress and Reuters/Ipsos polls show 66% and 68% respectively favor ceasefire. The Reuters/Ipsos poll reveals support for Israel has dropped from 41% to 32% since the war started October 7. Just 31% favor US weapons for Israel compared to 43 opposed. A plurality, 39%, want the US to be a neutral mediator to end the war.

America has become a pariah worldwide thru its endless support of Israeli Apartheid, ethnic cleansing and destruction of the open-air prison Israel maintains in Gaza. It is bound by international law to protect, not destroy, the 2.3 million Palestinians imprisoned there under Israeli control.

The US public is beginning to get that. The top 3 US leaders, Biden, Schumer and Johnson apparently never will.

Biden’s pathetic response to Gaza hospital catastrophe

Biden’s pathetic response to Gaza hospital catastrophe

President Biden’s unfitness to conduct US foreign policy was on full display Monday when asked for comment about the ongoing catastrophe at Gaza’s largest hospital. Biden appeared dazed and confused as he tried to respond to reporters’ questions on Israel’s siege there. Initially, he stared blankly before an aide pointed out to him the issue. Biden garbled something unintelligible before offering meaningless happy talk:

“It is my hope and expectation that there will be less intrusive action."

Biden knows full well there is neither hope nor expectation that Israel’s destruction and ethnic cleansing in Gaza will end. By supplying the weapons used to destroy Gaza, and turning a blind eye to this grotesque ongoing catastrophe, Biden has condemned the US to worldwide opprobrium and condemned his legacy as one supporting and enabling war crimes.

Biden completely ignores the electorate, even his own government on Gaza. Four hundred US officials from 40 agencies including the FBI, the Justice Department and the National Security Agency, just sent Biden a letter demanding immediate ceasefire and de-escalation of hostilities. Two thirds of the electorate concurs according to a new poll by Data For Progress.

Biden remains down in the rabbit hole of perpetual war with apparently no clue of finding an exit. Same goes for his senseless and lost proxy war against Russia in Ukraine for which he seeks another $61 billion in borrowed US treasure.

Every American should watch possibly the worst response to a humanitarian war disaster ever.

What is a ‘great ally’?

 What is a ‘great ally’?

With 2 immense oceans between the US and most of the world, America really doesn’t need allies, even great ones.
In my 79 years, the only great ally I can point out is Russia during WWII. It coughed up 26 million souls to destroy millions of Nazis on the Eastern Front, allowing America and its not-so-great allies to defeat Hitlerism. Those lessor allies, Britain, China, Canada among others, provided nowhere near the support Joe Stalin gave us in Russian blood. Uncle Sam’s thanks? He wrote Russia out of his false narrative it was only America’s greatest generation that won the war.
I ponder that question when I hear everyone from President Biden down to the least senior congressperson gush endlessly how Israel is our great ally, even more hyperbolically, our greatest ally.
But I did come up with 2 possible explanations for the great ally label.
First, Israel keeps our munitions plants and our economy humming by purchasing our planes and bombs and bullets used currently to destroy life for 2.3 million Palestinians in Gaza. Oops. I mean they use the $3.8 billion in free money American gives Israel every year, not Israeli money. Actually, Uncle buys the war stuff and essentially gives it to Israel. What a sweet deal. That $3.8 billion is not enough for President Biden. He’s demanding $14 billion more right now to help Israel finish off Gaza.
Second, Israel remains the only country of 193 UN members that votes with America against the annual UN resolution to end America’s 62 yearlong economic embargo of Cuba. It’s designed to make life miserable enough to goad the Cuban people to overthrow their socialist government. The vote last Thursday in the 31st such annual resolution to stop violating international law and the UN Charter, was the most lopsided of all 31, breaking last year’s nadir of 2 against (US and Israel) and 2 abstaining (Ukraine and Brazil).
I don’t see how helping to goose our weapons economy and voting to maintain our 7 decade breaking of international law against Cuba, constitute being either a great or greatest ally.
My view is a great ally works in cooperation with America to end the ethnic cleansing of Gaza and create a peaceful 2 state solution in the region. Tho my time is growing short, I remain hopeful that one day Israel will become the great ally they can.
